WBA super-middleweight champion Carl Froch has drawn the curtains down on his boxing career.
Britain's four-time world champion had won 33 of his 35 fights, with 24 victories by knockout, the BBC has reported.
The 38-year old said that he has nothing left to prove and his legacy speaks for itself.
He insisted that he was incredibly proud of what he has achieved in boxing but now was the right moment to hang up his gloves.
Froch also said that he was thinking to retire last June, after his re-match with Groves in front of 80,000 people at Wembley.
In his 13-year professional career Froch lost his two fights against Mikkel Kessler in 2010 and American Andre Ward in 2011 although he defeated the Dane in 2013 re-match.
