Oscar Pistorius' uncle has claimed that that the Paralympic sprinter is a heartbroken man who has to live with the fact that he killed his girlfriend and the love of his life, model Reeva Steenkamp.
According to Arnold Pistorius, who is also Pistorius' agent and coach, the double amputee athlete has been living at his uncle's home in Pretoria for the past three months and has surrounded himself with pictures of Steenkamp, CNN reports.
Pistorius further said that his nephew has also grown a beard as he does not want to be recognized.
Describing the runner's grief as 'unthinkable', Pistorius defended his nephew, saying that his heart bled for the Blade Runner, who is housebound and refuses to go out in public places.
Pistorius is charged with murdering the 29-year-old model and law school graduate early on February 14, and faces a court hearing on June 4.
