Former England football captain David Beckham's friend is reportedly of the opinion that the striker's personal fortunes will keep on growing despite investing a third of his personal wealth in a dream to own a Miami football team.
Beckham has reportedly forked out 59.74 million-pounds to fulfill his dream of owning a Miami football team and the project also involves building a new stadium as well as assembling a Major League Soccer side from scratch.
Beckham, who is also famously known as "Golden Balls", has put in the same amount as his two partners, TV -mogul Simon Fuller and Bolivian -telecom billionaire Marcelo Claure, have invested, reports the Daily Star.
A source revealed that Beckham, 38, agonised for months over launching his own franchise as part of a "sweetheart deal" he negotiated with MLS bosses when he signed for LA Galaxy in 2007.
But in the end he decided he wanted to put in the same amount as -American Idol creator Fuller, 53, and Claure, 43, who owns Brazilian side Bolivar.
His wife, Victoria 'Posh' Beckham, was very supportive, and that convinced him to take the plunge.
