Australian Test and ODI captain Michael Clarke and his wife got reportedly involved in the ceremonial first pitch at a Major League Baseball game this week.
While the biggest honour of actually throwing the first pitch went to the Australian cricketers wife Kyly, Clarke took up the position of catcher at the home plate.
According to News.com.au, the Clarkes shared their happiness with their fans on social media, for being invited to take part in the ceremony at the match between St Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs at Busch Stadium in the US.
Clarke had reportedly announced last month that he had signed a sponsorship deal with baseball mitt manufacturer Rawlings, when Arizona Diamondbacks and LA Dodgers were in Australia for a Major League Baseball clash at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Clarke's deal saw him posing for a photoshoot before this week's baseball match in his Test uniform, with a baseball mitt on his right hand, the report added.
