Ben Mendelsohn is eyed for the superhero film 'Captain Marvel' villain.
According to reports in The Hollywood Reporter, the 'Rogue One' actor is in talks to play the film's main antagonist in Marvel Studios' first female-fronted stand-alone.
Oscar-winner Brie Larson is set to star as the central antagonist in the action packed movie.
'Captain Marvel' central around the story of Carol Danvers played by Larson, an Air Force pilot who gains powers after her DNA becomes fused with an alien after an accident. The resulting alteration imbues her with the superpowers of strength, energy projection, and flight.
'Avengers' star Samuel L. Jackson will reprise his role as Nick Fury.
The film is slated to hit theaters on March 8, 2019.
