Warner Bros. and Cross Creek Pictures are trying to sign Benedict Cumberbatch, who will be replacing Guy Pearce, for the upcoming movie 'Black Mass', it has been revealed.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the movie is based on the nonfiction book with the same name which depicts the story of Whitey Bulger, the FBI, and a Devil's Deal.
Pearce was supposed to play Whitey's brother Billy Bulger but he dropped out of the movie few weeks ago for unknown reasons.
The crime drama about the Boston gangster also stars Johnny Depp, Adam Scott, Joel Edgerton, Dakota Johnson, Juno Temple and Jesse Plemons.
