Following a tradition that exists in the United States, kids at a school in Bhopal recently celebrated Ice Cream Day.
Kids of the Pretty Petals Foundation School in Bhopal marked the day by gorging on ice creams and dancing.
In 1984, the then U.S. President Ronald Regan had declared July as national ice cream month and announced the third Sunday of July as National Ice Cream Day.
Sunday being a holiday, the school celebrated the day on Saturday itself.
"We worked on the theme-Ice Cream Mania. Kids eagerly wait for Ice Cream Day in school because it is a thing that not only kids but even adults enjoy. So, kids dance and eat ice creams as they completely love them," said Principal, Pretty Petals Foundation School," said Shashi Keswani, Principal of the school.
The school has been celebrating the event for the past 15 years, and most kids don't miss the opportunity to down a few ice creams.
