Bill Maher recently cracked a joke by comparing Zayn Malik to Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the Boston Marathon bombing suspect.
The 59-year old stand-up comedian, posted a video titled 'Silly Zayn' on YouTube page of the political HBO show, 'Real time with Bill Maher,' where he sarcastically complained about the former One Direction singer quitting the band, and asked about his whereabouts during the attack in 2013, E! Online reported.
Maher then showed a picture of Malik and Tsarnaev, side-by-side and compared the two because of their appearance, asking which one in the band was Malik during the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.
Many of the singer's fans sparked outrage over the video, feeling that the comedian had mocked Malik's Muslim faith as well as his appearance. Malik's supporters commented on YouTube and said the video was "disgusting," "racist," and "Islamophobic."
However, there were a few who took it as a joke and laughed at the video.
