Sonam Kapoor, who has recently portrayed Neerja Bhanot in biopic 'Neerja,' feels a movie should be made on former sprint queen P.T Usha.
"Recently I have done a biography but yes if something good comes on women athletes that should be made. But at first, I do believe that we need to make a biopic on P.T Usha," she said at an event to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of IMC's Ladies' Wing yesterday.
"We have always celebrated the success of athletes, like we made biopic on Milkha Singh. I hope many runners' get inspired by that. There is such a huge population in our country. I think there are so many talented persons whose biopics can be made," she added, mentioning about her love for basketball and handball.
Further speaking about women empowerment, Sonam said that Olympics this year, was a good example to the thought that women are the foundation to a better society.
"If we help women, I think our society gets better because they are actually the foundations to a better society, a better India. I think the Olympics have been a great example of it. They could have done much better if they were given that support," she explained.
"I feel I am blessed with a lot. It's my duty to give back in whatever way possible. I try to do that every day in my own little way," she added.
On the work front, the 'Khoobsurat' actress will very soon be starting the shoot for her upcoming chick-flick 'Veere DI Wedding' with Kareena Kapoor Khan.
