Aam Aadmi Party leaders Ashutosh and Shazia Ilmi have been named in the FIR filed by Delhi police in connection with clashes that took place between the AAP and BJP workers outside the latter's headquarters in the national capital.
The FIR was lodged at Parliament Street police station last night on the charges of rioting, preventing public servants from performing their duty, damaging public properties, and causing hurt.
Police said, 28 persons - 13 AAP activists, 10 BJP supporters, four policemen and a mediaperson - were injured in the clashes which broke out hours after former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was briefly detained in Gujarat.
The Gujarat Police stated that Kejriwal had not taken permission from them to hold road show.
BJP President Rajnath Singh accused Aam Aadmi Party of attempting to vitiate the environment ahead of Lok Sabha polls. He also appealed to the BJP workers across the country to stay calm and peaceful.
