Confident of forming the next government in the state, Rajasthan Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Chief Vasundhara Raje on Sunday said that her party would never disappoint the people of her state.

"Rajasthan is one family, and for several years now Congress has been creating rift here. We will never let down the faith that the people of Rajasthan have bestowed on us. With our hard work and efforts, we will form a government here," she said while addressing a rally here today.

Earlier on October 4, Chief Election Commissioner V.S. Sampath announced the polling dates for five states, including Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Mizoram.

Elections in Rajasthan would be held on December 1, and the counting of votes for all five states would take place on December 8.

Taking note of the Supreme Court 's recent ruling, giving voters the right to reject candidates in the electoral fray, Sampath said the Election Commission is taking adequate measures to educate both voters and officials deployed for election duty for the same.
