Noted music director and singer Bappi Lahiri on Friday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.
"I am an artist, composer and singer. After working for 42 years, now I want to serve the nation. I discussed the same thing with Rajnath Singh ji. I told him that I want to do something. I am very happy that BJP is giving me a chance to serve the society," he said.
Earlier in the day, Bappi Lahiri met BJP president Rajnath Singh who inducted him into the saffron outfit.
