The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday launched the 'Jansampark Abhiyan' in presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the latter's official 7, Race Course Road (RCR) residence here.
According to reports, the 'Jansampark Abhiyan' will continue till July 31. Organizational leaders and BJP workers will go door-to-door convincing every person they come in contact with to join the party.
BJP president Amit Shah has already said that the drive has nothing to do with elections, and is only aimed at spreading the party's ideology among the people.
"We would like to learn about our new members, introduce them to the party's ideology and train party workers between July, August and September," he had said.
