BJP tells Kejriwal to stop portraying himself as dengue menace victim

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday told Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to stop portraying himself as a dengue menace victim

"If the LG has written any letter in which constitution is mentioned, then connecting it with dengue and putting a political question mark on that and trying to become a victim in that to mislead the people of the nation is not right," BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said in a press conference.

"Today, the people of Delhi have become victim of dengue and again Arvind Kejriwal has become a victim. You are not just a protestor, but a Chief Minister, so the people of Delhi want an answer from you," he added.

Patra further said that Kejriwal was busy in the DUSU election and rock concerts when he was supposed to go for inspection in hospitals for dengue.

"You have the right and you can do everything but you had gone to Bihar to show how big your model of governance is," he added.

"Model of governance is big when patients get bed and they get treatment. People see and decide model of governance where innocent people are not allowed to die," said Patra.

Kejriwal had earlier written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying the Centre must cooperate with the AAP Government in tackling the dengue menace.

"We got a letter from the Governor on 17th September. The letter has asked the government officials not to follow the orders of the Aam Aadmi Party Government; else they wouldn't receive their salaries. If the Central Government has to fight with us, we request you to do it after two months," Kejriwal wrote.
