Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Chaudhary Birender Singh on Saturday avoided commenting on who would head the government in Haryana if his party emerges victorious in the assembly polls.

He said the party high command will take a final call on the person for the coveted post of the Chief Minister.

"These things will be decided by the party, neither am I supporter of someone nor do I want to praise myself. The Chief Minister should be someone who can take along with everyone," he told ANI here.

When asked about the BJP's chances of forming government in the state, he said, "This is the 12th time that the assembly elections are being held. Earlier, there were no other alternatives. For the first time, the BJP has come as an alternative and the youth has accepted it."

"Youth wants employment, government jobs. They have huge expectations and so they have supported the BJP," he added.

Counting of votes for the 90 assembly seats in Haryana will take place tomorrow amid tight security arrangements. Around 73 percent voter turnout was recorded in Haryana.

Most of the exit polls have predicted that the BJP will emerge as the winner in Haryana.

There are reports suggesting that the BJP may prefer someone other than a jat as the Chief Minister if it gets an absolute majority in the Haryana Assembly.
