In an interesting news for blade runner fans, Alcon Media Group, the production house behind Bade Runner 2049, and Titan Publication are coming together with a co-production venture focused on the 'Blade Runner' universe.
According to Variety, Alcon Entertainment co- CEOs, Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove and Titan's co-founders, Nick Landau and Vivian Cheung said, with their new project, they will explore the Blade Runner universe further.
They will be developing and publishing both fiction and non-fiction comics and graphic novels, along with a variety of publications that will focus on the visual and technical sides of the production process.
Titan's David Manley-Leach and Alcon's director of publishing Jeff Conner will be handling the Editorial Duties.
"We are extremely excited to be publishing 'Blade Runner' comics and illustrated books," said Landau and Cheung.
They added, "The 'Blade Runner' universe has barely been explored; there is so much more there. It's an honour to be bringing this world to life in new ways for a new audience - and to reveal tales from that universe that you've never seen before."
'Blade Runner 2049', which was released in October 2017, did a business of 259.2 million dollars worldwide. The film was produced by Alcon co- CEOs Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove, accompanied by Bud Yorkin and Cynthia Yorkin.
Starring Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford, the film was set in a drought-stricken post-apocalyptic world.
