A backwater cruise boat was seized yesterday by the Kochi police for allegedly carrying liquor and other narcotic items onboard preserved for tourists.
Police claimed to seize twelve cases of canned beer and fifteen bottles of liquor from around sixty youths partying on the vessel Dream Cruise.
Ernakulam Central Police have registered a case against the boat owner and other staff because the owner didn't have any liquor license. As informed by the police, he will be booked under the act.
Further verification is on to ascertain for the suspected drugs and narcotic items.
