The upcoming biopic 'Bohemian Rhapsody' based on the life of American singer Freddie Mercury has become the second film, after 'Kingsman
According to Deadline, ScreenX is a multi-projection system used in a cinema hall. The system was created in 2012 by CJ CGV, a South Korean multiplex cinema chain. It is a multisensory cinema technology that brings in motion and environmental effects.
It allows cinemagoers to go beyond the frame of the movie screen that utilises a system which helps in expanding images of films in order to create an immersive 270-degree experience.
The films on this format will be projected onto three cinema screens. Only 164 cinema halls around the world are equipped with this technology.
According to Byung Hwan Choi, CEO, of the CJ CGV multiplex chain said that the upcoming film is perfect for cinema lovers to experience it in ScreenX.
