The Bombay High Court has asked Pakistan singer Adnan Sami to submit his passport to Mumbai Police in connection with a harassment case filed against him by his former wife Sabah Galadari.

Hearing Galadari's plea, Bombay High Court judge Mr.Justice R P Sondurbaldota ordered Sami to give his passport to the investigating officer immediately.

Galadari has claimed in her plea that Sami was not complying with the May 2009 order of the high court granting him anticipatory bail in the same case.

Sami has also been asked to give two sureties which he did. However, in July this year, both sureties told the court they wanted to withdraw and this was allowed.

As there is no one to stand surety for Sami now, the 2009 order of the court stands violated, Galadari's lawyers Mahesh Jethmalani and Edith Dey said.

Sami's legal representative has told the high court that the singer is unwell and not in a position to appear before the court.

On December 16, the court had asked Sami to vacate a five-in-one duplex flat in the Oberoi Sky Garden at Lokhandwala Complex in Andheri within two months to facilitate Galadari's entry, as she has claimed that it is her matrimonial home.

Sami is currently staying with his third wife Roya Faribi in the flat.
