Border Trade with Bangladesh to reach 500 crores by 2017
The border trade between India and Bangladesh through Tripura is likely to touch Rs. 500 crores in the next two or three years.
The director of the Tripura Industries Department P L Agarwal recently revealed that with an increase in trade opportunities between the two sides and coming up of more industries from Bangladesh into Tripura, it is possible to achieve the target by 2016-2017.
He also said that more border haats will start operating in Tripura soon.
The director also stated that Bangaldeshi industries are keen to invest in Tripura and some projects are in pipeline.
