Boycott says Australia's lack of 'killer instinct' could cost them Ashes

Cricket legend Geoffrey Boycott has said that England had won the first Test Match at Trent Bridge because they had individuals who could perform under pressure, while Australia were not good enough to absorb the tension.

Boycott wrote in his article that Ashton Agar did wonderfully to give Australia a 65-run lead but the Australian seamers could not find their killer instinct, adding that it was something that could happen throughout the series.

The former cricketer said that although Australia will fight and get a number of opportunities, the quality in their side was not capable of beating England at their home, in a series.

Boycott also said that it was not necessary for players to start walking if the umpire had not given them out, adding that decisions were best left to umpires.
