Aftera vile online hoax claiming he has died following separation from wife Angelina Jolie, actor Brad Pitt has recently released the statement saying he is alive and well.
The 52- year-old actor, in his statement also explained why he won't be attending a screening for his new film 'Voyage of Time' amid separation from the 'Salt' star.
"[Filmmaker] Terrence [Malick]'s 'Voyage of Time' is an incredibly beautiful and unique experimental IMAX film for children and families chronicling the birth of time," he said in the statement.
Adding, "I'm very grateful to be part of such a fascinating and educational project, but I'm currently focused on my family situation and don't want to distract attention away from this extraordinary film, which I encourage everyone to see."
The 'Fight Club' actor became subject of a cruel prank surfacing on social media and wrongly claiming that the actor has committed suicide.
The fake report claimed he "shot himself in the head at a shooting range".
A link appearing to a new report trended on social media site but any users, who clicked the link received a permission request from an app wanting to access their profile, reports the Mirror.
For the unversed, the 'By The Sea' actress filed for divorce from her husband citing irreconcilable differences and is seeking joint legal custody but sole physical custody of their six children.
