The Haryana Government on Thursday reportedly put on hold the award it had announced for the Rohtak sisters who fought off alleged harassers in a public bus, after two witnesses disputed the earlier version of events.

As per reports, two new witnesses have come forward in support of the alleged harassers and disputed the sexual harassment charges levelled by the two sisters, aged 19 and 22.

Some reports also suggest that the girls beat the boys after an altercation with an old woman over the seat they were occupying.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, meanwhile, said the government will take a decision after carrying out an impartial probe in the matter.

"After carrying out an impartial probe in the matter will take a decision," Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said.

Just two days after a video showing the girls allegedly fighting off harassers in a public bus appeared, another video of the two sisters beating a man in a park surfaced, raising questions about the veracity of events.
