The Congress Party on Sunday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to break his silence and ask External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to step down from her post.
"The Prime Minister is silent. He says that he is under lock and key. We urge the Prime Minister to break the shackles of lock and key process and speak to the nation openly. What is preventing him to tell Sushma Swaraj ji to quit now, here, and if you are clean you can always come back," Congress leader Tom Vaddakan told the media here.
"Tell the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh enough of Vyapam, this death trail must end. He must talk to the Rajasthan Chief Minister that this cover up operation won't do," he added.
The Congress has been relentless in its attack against the BJP-led Government over Swaraj's alleged involvement in the Lalit-gate row.
