Brit boxer Amir Khan claims has been asked to square off against 'unbeaten' Mayweather

British two-time world champion Amir Khan has claimed that he has been asked by the Floyd Mayweather's manager to compete against the unbeaten American boxing champion at the weekend.

Amir, the youngest British Olympic boxing medalist, said that although he is in a position to face either Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao, he would prefer the former, Stuff.co.nz reported.

The Briton claimed that the American boxer's manager Leonard Ellerbe approached him after Mayweather's unanimous point win over Pacquiao in the much anticipated 'fight of the century' bout, to have 'a go at him'.

According to reports, Mayweather would appear for his last bout in September, and that could be against British boxer Amir.

Describing Amir as an 'easy opponent', Mayweather Sr., meanwhile, said that it would be an easy fight for his son and would beat Amir as the British boxer lacks technical skills.

On the other hand, Khan insisted that he knew what Pacquiao had done wrong and therefore, is aware of the weaknesses and the strengths of Mayweather.he only problem that Khan would see in fighting with Mayweather is the fact that Americans are adamant to fight in September and Khan, being a Muslim, would not be able to take part in full month camp because of fasting in Ramadan.
