England fast bowler Stuart Broad has admitted that he is happy for his rival Australian batsman Chris Rogers' milestone century in second day of the fourth Test at Durham.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Rogers' century, which made him the second oldest Australian to reach his first his maiden Test hundred, saved the tourists' bacon, which was then being cooked by Broad, who had taken four wickets on Saturday.

Paying tribute to Rogers' status in the game, Broad said that although it is tough for an England player to feel pleased for an Australian scoring a hundred in an Ashes Test, especially when he is bowling against him, there however, is no doubt that Rogers has been a great servant to both Australian and English cricket.

According to Broad, he played along with the Australian opener at Leicester, adding that by playing for a few counties and scoring 20,000-odd first-class runs, Rogers has offered a lot to the English game.

However, Broad also said that the pressure was evident on Rogers' face, especially when he was in the 90s, adding that as Rogers played very well to get that hundred, England will have to remove him early on Sunday to keep themselves in this game.
