Chilina Kennedy is set star in 'Beautiful - The Carole King Musical.'
The star, who played Mary Magdalene in Des McAnuff's Stratford-to-Broadway transfer of 'Jesus Christ Superstar' will take over for Tony winner Jessie Mueller, who had received much appreciation for her work, Deadline.com reported.
Mueller will exit when the show ends in March, and Kennedy would begin the next day at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, where the bio-cum-hit-parade has regularly been selling out since opening last year.
Kennedy, who's veteran of Canada's Stratford Festival and the Toronto theater and cabaret scenes, had also starred in Gotham productions of 'Kiss Me, 'Kate' and 'The Grapes Of Wrath.
