Charlie Sheen's former wife Brooke Mueller rambled about her "mafia connections" before being placed in a 3-day involuntary psychiatric hold earlier this month.
According to source, a man who was at Mueller's Los Angeles home on May 1 called 911 to report that he had been assaulted by her.
But when police arrived, Mueller talked about what she claimed were her mafia connections, TMZ reported.
The source said that Mueller told police that she and FBI had been in constant contact for months about Sheen, asserting that she was providing them a lot of information that would bring the 47-year-old actor down.
The source said that the cops believed that Mueller was under the influence and looked as if she hadn't slept for several days; her 4-year-old twins were in the house at the time.
