The Border Security Force (BSF) jawans celebrated Holi, the festival of colours, with great enthusiasm here on Friday.
They jawans, who applied colors on each other, said that they miss their family members.
"I am from Gaya in Bihar. I am sad that I am away from my family members. But we are celebrating Holi here just as we would celebrate at home. We are brothers guarding the border, we will celebrate together. I want to send a message back home that I am fine here," said a BSF jawan.
"BSF is my family. Whether I celebrate Holi at home or here, it is the same for me. We miss our family members," added another jawan.
Holi is being celebrated in different parts of the country today. President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice-President Hamid Ansari and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have greeted the nation on the occasion.
