A chartered plane of Border Security Force (BSF) crashed a few minutes after take-off from the Palam airport here on Tuesday morning, officials said.
BSF spokesperson V N Parashar said they were yet to confirm the number of injuries and casualties.
The Beechcraft Super King plane carrying 10 BSF personnel was bound for Ranchi.
"We are yet to confirm the cause of the accident," the BSF official said.
"The tragic news of the BSF plane crash near Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi is extremely painful. Rushing to the crash site immediately," Home Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted.
