The Congress on Thursday discussed various issues including Aadhar matter, rampant incidents of communal violence, unemployment, fuel price rise, in a meeting chaired by Congress chief Sonia Gandhi here.

A meeting of opposition leaders was held today to chalk out joint strategy for the ongoing budget session of Parliament.

Speaking to media, after the meeting, Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad called for common approach and strategy both inside and outside the Parliament.

"Sonia ji remarked a few things during her speech - First, we have to work together on issues of national importance. Second, we have to be very careful as far as ideology of hate is concerned. Third, rampant incidents of violence over caste and communities. Forth, institutions are being undermined," Azad said.

"Fifth, present government is using Aadhaar as a tool to breach privacy. Sixth, Economic health of country remains precarious. Seventh, Unemployment is a matter of great concern for the nation and the government is doing nothing in this regard. Eighth, price rise of essential commodities in general and fuel in particular is another matter of great concern," he added.

He further said they would raise many other issues in the Parliament budget session.
