The state government said the Jaithari-Kuraoli road, leading to the village of the slain police Inspector in Etah, will now be called 'Shri Subodh Kumar Singh Shahid Marg'.

Atul Garg, a minister in the Uttar Pradesh government, said the government has decided to name a college after the Inspector. "To respect the sentiments of the family and courage of the brave police officer, we have also decided to name a college after the martyred police officer Subodh Singh." He added, "The chief minister appreciated the strength and composed approach of the family in dealing with the big loss."

Garg also explained, "We have decided that the government will take care of the loan amounting to about Rs 25-30 lakh, which the family had taken for house and children's education." Following the gruesome incident, Adityanath had announced a relief of Rs 40 lakh for Singh's wife, Rs 10 lakh for his parents and a government job for a member of his family.

The deceased's son Shrey Pratap Singh expressed faith in the government saying, "The chief minister has assured us that we will get justice and the culprits will be punished.
