Butt insists youngsters should not indulge in 'illegal practices'

Former Pakistan Test cricketer Salman Butt has affirmed that it was not easy to remain disassociated from cricket and also advised young aspirants not to indulge in any 'illegal practices'.

The 30-year-old said that youngsters should keep the punishment factor in mind before indulging in such activities.

Butt confirmed that he have already indicated his availability to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and was ready to fulfill all the necessary requirement of the tribunal, the Dawn reported.

The three players(Mohammad Asif, Salman Butt and Mohammad Amir) were found guilty of various offences of corrupt behavior relating to the Lords Test played between England and Pakistan in August 2010 by the independent Anti-Corruption Tribunal on February 5, 2011.

The International Cricket Council(ICC) had earlier confirmed that the sanctions against Asif and Butt will expire at midnight on September 1, 2015, and that they will be eligible to return to competitive cricket, at both domestic and international levels, from September 2, 2015 after fulfilling the specific conditions laid down by the independent Anti-Corruption Tribunal.

Further, it said that Mohammad Amir will be eligible to return to cricket at international level at the same time, following permission being granted to him to return to play domestic cricket in Pakistan earlier this year.
