Cricket Australia's high performance chief Pat Howard has reportedly asked an Indian company to conduct a detailed review of Australia's recent Test thrashing by Pakistan in order to find a solution for their historic woes in Asia.

Howard has engaged Chennai-based analysis firm Cricket 21, which employs dozens of former first-class Indian cricketers. The company is being charged with sorting through Australia's problems in sub continental conditions, the latest of which was a 2-0 thrashing by Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates.

The thrashing continued a torrid run in which Australia lost 10 of their past 15 Tests on the continent, with their only win in that stretch coming against Sri Lanka on an overcooked Galle wicket in 2011, Sydney Morning Herald reported.

There have been calls, led by former Test captain and CA director Allan Border, for an Argus-style review into Australia's issues in Asia but while the hierarchy is eager for answers they do not want to distract from priorities at home in the coming months.

And that is the reason behind Howard turning to India, the very country that would take on Australia over four Tests from next month, for answers.

Howard said that they don't want to interfere with performances during the summer so they have made sure that they really go and test their thinking, adding that they want a non-Australian point of view.

Howard that they haven't got a first draft yet but they would get vision, get problems and solutions and effectively a squad analysis.
