The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) today approved the appointment of senior Indian Administrative Service officer Subash Chandra Garg as the Executive Director of World Bank.
The appointment has been made for a period of three years with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders.
Garg is a Rajasthan cadre IAS officer of the 1983 batch and has had wide experience in various ministries of the government, both state and central, including the ministries of rural development, agriculture, finance, human resource development, power, personnel and general administration and Cabinet affairs.
