The Union Cabinet has passed a unanimous resolution lauding the efforts of scientists and engineers of the Indian Space Research organisation (ISRO) for the success of Mars Orbiter Mission 'Mangalyaan'.
"The Cabinet passed a unanimous resolution, warmly complimented and praised the extraordinary effort of the scientists and engineers of India who have made us proud by making India a successful entrant in its first attempt.
"It was matter of pride and a moment of glory and Cabinet complimented that. India is the first nation in Asia to achieve this feat and also the first in the world to do so in its first attempt," Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said.
