Calvin Klein and his much-younger boyfriend Nick Gruber have reconciled, according to reports.
Klein separated from Gruber, 23, in January 2012, after Gruber punched a political intern and got arrested for cocaine possession after a night of partying at his Greenwich Street apartment.
A source told the New York Post that Klein feels very protective about Gruber and despite what happened, he still loves Nick.
The insider said that Klein flew Gruber to Mexico and the couple met up at an exclusive resort there, asserting that the 70-year-old designer wanted to keep it low-profile.
Another source said that the couple have been texting and met up at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles about a month ago.
The source explained that Gruber and his boyfriend John Luciano broke up around February, and John encouraged Gruber to get back with Klein.
A spokesperson for Klein said that they are just friends and no more.
