Cameron Diaz has said that girls should not be called pretty, as by saying this the idea that the most important thing for them is to look good is being reinforced on them.
The 41-year-old actress said that there are very super-sweet girls on the set of film 'Annie' who keep telling her that she is pretty, her hair and clothes are so pretty, the Daily Star reported.
The 'There's Something About Mary' star said that it's sweet but it worries her that the girls are being conditioned to value themselves and judge each other by the way they look.
She added that she prefers asking the girls about their school and favourite subject, instead of telling them how cute they look.
