The Central Government would soon issue Universal Identity Cards to divyangs in the country.
This was announced by Minster of State for Social justice and Empowerment Krishna Pal Gurjar in Amroha district on Wednesday.
He said that this Universal Identity Card would be valid throughout the country.
Gurjar was speaking in a programme organized for distribution of assistance equipment to divyangs.
He said the Central Government had already provided assistance equipments of lakhs of rupees to divyangs in 120 Lok Sabha constituencies.
Gurjar said according to 2011 census report, there are 2 corer 68 lakhs divyangs living in the country.

He stated the Centre is already implementing several schemes to make them self sufficient.
On this occasion, he distributed tricycles, wheel chairs and ear implants to 504 divyangs of Amorha.
