CEOs get paid 273 times the average employee

CEO-to-employee pay ratio has reached 273, after it fell to 193 in 2009 due to recession, a new report from the Economic Policy Institute has revealed.

According to EPI, the average CEO pay packet was 14.1 million dollars in 2012, CNN reported.

The Institute looks at the chief executives of top 350 firms and includes the value of stock options exercised in a given year and compares it to the annual remuneration of employees in key industry of the firm.
