Charlize Theron apparently had a hand in rumoured beau Sean Penn's decision to give up on his 60-strong gun collection for art.

The actor, 53, has decided to decommission the arsenal that will be made into a sculpture by iconic artist Jeff Koons and all the profits will go to his Help Haiti Home Foundation, the Daily Express reported.

It is also worth noting that Theron's support in Penn's decision is particularly moving as her alcoholic and abusive father was lawfully killed by her mother with a firearm on 21 June 1991.
