Chelsea moved to the brink of reclaiming the Premier League title with a 1-0 win over a resurgent Manchester United side on Saturday night at Stamford Bridge.
Eden Hazard put Chelsea ahead in the 38th minute with a clinical finish from a well-worked Oscar's pass.
Although the defeat brought an end to United's six-game winning streak, Louis van Gaal's men displayed a spirited performance as Wayne Rooney and the recalled Radamel Falcao made brilliant efforts to score before falling prey to defensive strength of Chelsea, the BBC reported.
Chelsea need to win just two games off their remaining six fixtures to return the title to Stamford Bridge for the first time since 2010.
Currently, Chelsea are ten points clear at the top of the table while United stay third on 65 points, one point behind second-placed Arsenal and four above fourth-placed Manchester City.
