Cheryl Fernandez-Versini could step down from her role of judge on reality show 'X Factor' if her new close friend Mel B is not invited back in the show.
Sources close to the Brit singer told People Magazine that this was not about money for her because being on 'X-Factor' meant that she could take on very little other work, so she wanted it to be good.
Sources continued that when the former Spice Girl member was in the running last year, then Cole wasn't over the moon but they hit it off and became very close.
Sources added that trying to bring Mel B was a huge part of the 31-year-old singer's negotiations with 'X Factor' boss Simon Cowell.
Cowell, on the other hand, was still said to be "peeved" about Mel B missing part of last year's final amid rumours of a bust-up with her husband Stephen Belafonte.
