CATIC Bejing Co. Ltd, a Chinese firm, has handed over 19 dredgers and supporting vessels to Myanmar at a commissioning ceremony at the Nanthida Jetty in Yangon.
The dredgers and supporting vessels arrived in Myanmar in August.
Burmese Transport Minister U Nyan Htun Aung and China's envoy to Myanmar Yang Houlan were present on the occasion.
Aung said the induction of the new dredgers and supporting vessels would increase Myanmar's dredging.
Houlan said that the induction of dredgers and supporting vessels should be seen as a step forward in Sino-Myanmar ties.
Yang went on to say Beijing is willing to provide aid, including technical assistance to promote Myanmar rapid economic nd social development.
