Hundreds of climbers have said that they are in limbo as they wait for the Nepalese government's decision on whether they will be allowed to scale the Mount Everest again in 2015.
According to BBC, the climbers had been forced to abandon their expeditions on Everest last year after the 2014 Sherpa strike as officials vowed permits for around 300 climbers for five years.
The Sherpas had boycotted expeditions after 16 of their colleagues passed away in an avalanche last April.
Russell Brice, of Himalayan Experience, who has been bringing foreign climbers to the Nepalese Himalayas for years said that they were only six weeks away from starting their expeditions and there is no clear decision on what is going to happen.
Another operator said that that the indecision means that none of the climbers hoping to use last year's permits could attempt Everest this year which is due to begin next month.
