Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Thursday hoped that the newly-inaugurated Chief Minister's Office building complex 'Pragathi Bhavan' would become a platform for creating a blueprint for the development of Telangana.

He said Janahita Conference hall, which is a part of the building complex, would be immensely helpful in interaction with a cross section of people from all hues to formulate the government's policies and programmes, and in monitoring the implementation of several schemes.

In this context, he said people often face problems and issues in their lives and a direct interaction with them would help solve their problems and show solutions to them. "People from all walks, including women, farmers, artisans, workers and a host of others, would now be able to attend the direct interactions to be held on regular intervals at Janahita Conference Hall," Rao quoted as saying by a press release issued by the Telangana Chief Minister's Office.

"The state government would provide them the travel expenses to come to Hyderabad. The government would also utilise the opportunity to find out on how several government schemes and programmes are being implemented at the field level and accordingly the State government would modify its action plan," the Chief Minister observed.

Talking about the Janahita Conference hall, Rao recalled how, till now, several important government conferences such as the Collector's Conference were being held in private hotels, as there was no proper venue at the Government's disposal.

After the formal inauguration of Pragathi Bhavan, the Chief Minister held a review meeting about the aims and objectives of Pragathi Bhavan and the conference hall.

Ministers K.T. Rama Rao, T. Harish Rao, Jagadeeshwar Reddy, Dr Laxmareddy, Rajya Sabha Member Dr. K. Keshav Rao, Legislative Council Whip Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Mission Bhagiratha vice chairman Vemula Prashanth Reddy, MLC Sreenivas Reddy and others attended the review meeting.
