Comcast launches its new streaming TV service called Stream

Comcast has announced that it is rolling out a new streaming cable TV service called Stream that will allow Xfinity customers to watch shows from HBO, NBC, Fox and other networks on tablet, laptop, and smartphone that costs USD 15 a month.

According to the Verge, Stream will launch in beta in Boston by the end of the summer and then expand to Chicago and Seattle. The company says it hopes to make its new service available across the US by early 2016.

The service will allow subscribers watch shows from HBO, Fox, NBC, and other networks on laptops, tablets, and phones.

However, it appears that subscribers will only be able to stream inside their home.

Comcast says it will also include on demand movies, access to the TV Everywhere service that allows pay TV subscribers access apps that need a cable subscription and a cloud DVR that allows the users to stream recorded shows to their devices.
