Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh on Sunday asserted that Congress will form its government in the state of Madhya Pradesh with a decent majority.

In an exclusive conversation with ANI, Singh said, "I have been visiting Madhya Pradesh from last one and half year and based on what I have observed, it is with complete surety that I can say that we are getting about 126 to 132 seats. Congress is forming the government in Madhya Pradesh."

He also said that many incidents related to Electronic Voting Machines (EVM)'s have created suspicion and thus Congress has deployed its workers to keep an eye on the situation.

"Complaints about EVM machines are being received from different places. In one of Madhya Pradesh's assembly constituency, as many as 47 EVMs returned about 48 hours later. Where these EVMs were for 48 hours and what was the need for so many extra EVMs. The electricity supply of an EVM strong room in Bhopal was allegedly cut for 1.5 hours. In another district, three EVM machines were brought back after 48 hours. These all things create suspicion. However, election commission had made its arrangement and we have also deployed our workers. There are CCTV cameras also but we need to keep an eye on these things" Singh said.

Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Singh also asserted that it is important for Congress to be vigilant. "It is important to maintain a vigil because these people (Bharatiya Janata Party) can do anything. As of now, the administration is also their's and hence there are many indications of different types. But the Congress party needs to be vigilant," he said.

On being asked about the Ram Mandir temple issue, he said this matter only rake up during elections.

Madhya Pradesh went for voting on November 28, and the results will be announced on December 11.
