The Congress today held a review meeting on election results pertaining to Delhi at its Congress war room in the city's Rakabganj area.
Coming out after the meeting, Former Union Minister and Congress leader, Ajay Maken said: "An informal exercise has been started under the leadership of A.K. Antony and along with others like Mukul Wasnik, Avinash Pandey... This exercise has been started from Delhi and prominent leaders from Delhi were called and were asked as to why they were not able to do well in this elections in Delhi and its reasons behind it. The meeting also discussed what actions needs to be taken ahead. This is just an informal exercise."
When asked if the meeting discussed on supporting AAP again to form government in Delhi, he said, "Only matters related to 2014 Lok Sabha elections were discussed and what steps needs to be taken ahead. Like as I said this is an informal exercise presided by A K Antony."
Congress will be holding similar election review meetings on each states, to ascertain reasons for its poor performance in the Lok Sabha polls.
The Congress had got its lowest tally of 44 seats in the 543-member Lok Sabha in the
General Elections held in April-May this year.
