The Congress workers staged a protest against Madhya Pradesh Animal Husbandry Minister Kusum Mehdele here on Wednesday for allegedly kicking a boy and demanded her resignation.
Carrying the Congress' flag in their hands, the agitators raised slogans against Mehdele and demanded that she should be dismissed.
Earlier, a video clip showing the 10-year-old boy being kicked away allegedly by the minister had gone viral on social media.
In the video, Mehdele was seen kicking the boy as he bowed to touch her feet at a function organised to celebrate Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day near the bus stand in Panna district.
Mehdele, however, later clarified that the boy in question was 'highly' drunk and lost his balance and fell on her feet when she was returning from a programme at Panna bus stand area.
